'Alleviate Me'

I love Nanaimo bars but they give me a massive sugar headache. So I set out to crate one that was actually healthy! This treat is also inspired by my mother, and her need to find foods that were anti-inflammatory for her Rheumatoid arthritis. This is where turmeric came into play with this recipe - bringing out the color and giving it its medicinal qualities.
